Of course there can be peace without war, we just haven't realized it yet and so we proceed to use force as the answer to every problem. We also have to take into account the two regions or parties that are fighting, if one party uses force the other might resort to civil disobedience. In these modern times everything must be thrust upon because everything has become a competition and every party wants its own way, and war or force is the only way to solve such problems. So if we don't first become open-minded than we can never have peace.

Does war have a purpose?
War does have a purpose, but there is no reason for it. Wars purpose is either to win something or to overcome something. Obviously war is not the answer. So, it may have a purpose, but there is no reason for war.

Life can be without death
death is just a figure pressuring us to wste our selves to make us feel like we had done one finall thing in our lives for a goal. Jonathon's goal was to protect his home by fighting in the war. JOnathon probaly thought that he may never come back from war and he wasn't just going to waste his life without making a great achievement . He might have known he didnt do much things in his lives but thought probaly by going of to war he can make something of himself and not to b known as a boy, but as a man. to become to have a greater purpose in his life by having death dude

The reason there is so much war is because many political leaders may have a disagreement or two then they would want to hurt eachother.Political leaders start wars but young men and women die in wars.No political leader now would fight in a war and that is the purpose of war.
So i agree with kim because war is something that will produce hate.Hate is a strong word. War has violence and as you know violence is not an answer.Sure war has a purpose of winning and killing,but why? War is so evil and cruel!!

Can there be peace without war? I agree with Serosh when she said that there can be peace without war. The reason why I agree is because after the war, the "losers" will seek revenge and try to start another war. Therefore, I do believe that ther can be peace without war.
I agree with Serosh. We shouldn't have to go to war to solve our problems. We can solve them by verbally arguing. I also agree with Serosh about how we have to "take into account" the two sides "that are fighting". For example, we don't exactly pay any attention to those people in Iraq who don't have to do anything with the whole problem. they are scared to death while not knowing what will happenn to them the minute they walk out their doorstep! We have to stop this nonsense and come to our senses!!!!!

I agree with Serosh.War isn't the way to solve things. We also have to think about the people that are going out to fight these wars.Serosh had some very good points.
