I don't want to grow up too fast.

I agree with the statement because its true,I don't want to grow to fast. The reason why I say this is because you only get to be a kid once. I don't want to grow up to fast because if you do you might miss out on the oppertunity to be a kid. Jonathan wanted to fight in the war like a man when he was kid and his choice want him to wish he acted like a kid again.Thats why I don't to grow up to fast.

What is the point of war?

Does war make you stronger? Does war help you in the long run? Does war give you an advantage in things you do? What is the point of war? Many people believe that war is good for us and many believe it is bad for us? I believe it is not one answer, I believe that it a different answer from different points of views or different beliefs.

"Get in your places get your muskets don't be daft" said the Corporal when they heard the abuzz of the drummers of the other regiments.From that feeling Jonathan felt fear maybe even regret of this time where he knows of no safety.Maybe he wanted to know the feeling of war what was the point of it. Now that he is experienced it he is probably not satisfied with this answer. Perhaps he was wondering why he went in the first place but still with that information we would not now what he was thinking at that time. Just imagine you being in that predicament how would you feel ?Everyone has a different point of view on what is the point of war, What is yours???

Life can be without death
death is just a figure pressuring us to wste our selves to make us feel like we had done one finall thing in our lives for a goal. Jonathon's goal was to protect his home by fighting in the war. JOnathon probaly thought that he may never come back from war and he wasn't just going to waste his life without making a great achievement . He might have known he didnt do much things in his lives but thought probaly by going of to war he can make something of himself and not to b known as a boy, but as a man. to become to have a greater purpose in his life by having death dude

What is the purpose of life?

What is the purpose of life? For animals, their goal is to get food and shelter. Since for most humans that is not a problem, their goal is to become successful. Most jobs are created to make our lives easier or to give us our needs or wants. For as long as their is the human race that will be our goal. If you think about it, we would not have to live on this earth for other things to survive. There isn't an animal that survives by eating humans and eventually the species that do eat humans will find other prey. I truly believe that the only reason we live is to satisfy our needs.

Can there be peace without war?

Of course there can be peace without war, we just haven't realized it yet and so we proceed to use force as the answer to every problem. We also have to take into account the two regions or parties that are fighting, if one party uses force the other might resort to civil disobedience. In these modern times everything must be thrust upon because everything has become a competition and every party wants its own way, and war or force is the only way to solve such problems. So if we don't first become open-minded than we can never have peace.

Does war have a purpose?

I agree with "i want to be treated like an adult" because i feel that if i am treated like an adult i would learn better. Another reason i believe this is because my mother was treated as an adult since she was 10 years old and she came out greater than ever, shes the strongest person i know because of that.In conclusion i agree with the statement "i want to be treated as an adult" because i do want to be treated as an adult.=D

Without War there is No Peace

I disagree with this statement. War is not the only way to solve conflicts." The pens which write against disarmament are made with the same steel from which guns are made." -Aristide Briand They are both great weapons. There would be no need for war if there was peace and our country needs to learn that.

Youth is more important than experience.

I disagree because it doesn't make a lot of sense. I say that because its like saying your going to put a baby in the army. I would think thats crazy because that baby has no experience at all. But if you put a adult that has experience in the army it would make perfect sense. Thats why I think experience is more important than youth.

All is fair in war

I feel that in war, the poor suffer for the rich. For example the war in Iraq is not effecting us personally and so we do not care. However the children in Iraq are afraid in their own homes. Even though a war is two sided we are not effected as residents. If we were to make sure we didn't step on any bombs accidentally maybe we would care about it more.
